I have lag, I'm not here to complain, but I would like some suggestions please.

I'm lagging to the point at which my cursor doesn't move D=

...I have 8 MB Broadband and 1024MB RAM

I do not have any other programs running when I play.

I've tryed pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and setting Fiesta to high priority (Not Realtime though, that just freezes my computer).

I've tryed resetting my computer as well.

I've re-formated my computer so it should be running at the highest speed.

All other games seem to have no problem running.

I meet all the requirements.

Question: How would I go about updating my graphics card driver? (I'm a noob at computers ;,,; ) I've read somewhere that this should help, I have no clue why =/

Thank you for your time, and Thanks in advance for any help given.

Note: I put this thread in this board rather than "Known issues" because it is MY issue rather than the game's issue XD

2nd Note: Apologies for my bad english, I'm chinese, so I can not read or write very well.

It may not be you but the game. The servers get very overloaded and get put into "busy" mode which is probably what you're experiencing. Your system requirements are great and beyond what is minimally needed to operate.

Thank you =3, It's just all my friends are saying that they don't lag... and one of my friends plays on dial-up O_o

I got a new idea... I should try port forwarding, but where would I find the port? =/

Edit: I've managed to find the source of my problem... it's my graphics card... it's really old @,,@ ... does anyone know how I could update it without having to buy anything? ¬,,¬

While in a Town or such, the best thing you can do is Hold Shift+Z. It clears the screen of all players, so you only see the map and NPC's. It's helped me /alot/

Other than in towns, I can't help ya. Sorry.

Looks like your issue isn't connection lag, but graphic.
Are you in town ? hit ctrl + z
are you elsewhere ? Buy a new computer.

7.9.5

did you ping trace the server to see if a hop in your connection is droping packets or causing a huge increase in latency. I notived the alter.net backbone into the server degraded my dsl 10ms connection to about 150ms dial-up latency.

I am sorry but it can't be graphics card...my husband and I BOTH run newer computers and laptops... and I KNOW for a fact it is SERVER OVERLOAD!!!! they need to freaking open up the other server and start working on Teva... this crap is getting old and alot are leaving the game because nothing is being done.. it is sickening..

Server lag doesn't affect client performances like LilEnky stated. But you'll see mobs with slower reaction or you skills having a delay, or you warp backward, or mobs warping , ect ect ...
