Or will I die a horrible death and waste all my materials on it and get stuck really badly? Thanks in advance. :p

The pet quest is available for any class at lvl 35. You have a long task ahead of you as well as many items to collect. I suggest you look through this thread and you can find all the answers to the pet quest.

I already looked through it, but I'm not sure about running away from the mines and killing stuff. Am I too weak for that and what about some of the mobs that I have to kill? (Sould balls and such)

much too weak, for that. Just start it off and do what you can when you can. It takes forever. and mines are 55 and up or you die.

The cool down times are 4 hours in between each step. While your lvling just pay attention to the next step and what you have to kill. If your lvl is to weak let the timer expire and wait until your strong enough to complete it. At your lvl getting exp is great so you will be leveling in no time and getting stronger. Also other players are available in game to help you along the way in the mines or the sewers if you just let them know you need a little help. Unfortunately they cant help you kill the mobs needed for the quest. Good luck

Thanks, you guys have answered my question. I wanted to see if I can do it on an alternate character because I spend more time on it than my main. Thanks once again everyone. (almost used 30 butter to get started x.x)

In all honesty, level 36 is a bit low for some of the tasks, HOWEVER, if you spend time collecting precious drops (like Firewood) and sell them for profit or trade for other items (like Soul Stone Fragments) then the only challenge is to kill the particular monsters that the quest requires.

Read further for tips on Pet Quest:

Firewood - killing Gurons is a piece of cake! They only have an attack factor of 82, no special effect (like poison, curse, etc) and roughly 1000hp. The best place to hunt these critters is Malian Forest, west of Essene, where the REALLY nasty monsters called Angeloo and Weed are rarely aggro.

Wood/Leather - anywhere you find Hawgs or Huolao (spelling?) or Halloween Starbears you can find Wood and Leather. These monsters are a bit tougher, as they have an attack factor of 90-105 and between 1500 and 1800hp. What makes these monsters tricky are the nasty aggro Kennin Weed that haunt the same maps (beware the pink flowers!)

Fruit/Veggies - find the various edibles practically anywhere in the maps surrounding Brynhild and Essene as there are no specific enemies that drop them, and no specific maps either.

Soul Stone Fragments - possibly the toughest part of the Pet Quest. The monsters in the mines have attack factors that range from 150-165 and 5000 to 6000hp and they are ALL 100% AGGRO. Any monster can drop a SSF, but the rate is low.

Fairy Powder - any Fairy monster you encounter can drop this, but beware, they are all ranged spellcasters, and each of them can put a status effect on you. Their attack factors are anywhere from 125-150 and have 2000 to 2500hp.
