Default Confirmed Max License Stats!

Well, here's the beginning of my Amazingly Fantastic Awesome-riffic guide to uber-licensing! After several questions and PM's I decided to make this a very newbie-friendly guide as well as having all the information the more-seasoned Fiesta Citizens are looking for. Be on the lookout for changes as I'll be updating this with new information whenever I get it (and when I get a chance to be online)

I would like people to confirm what each license has for maximum DMG and Crit%, that way we have a complete guide for people who are looking to make their weapons better. If you have a license that says "Completed" next to the name, and you don't see that on my list, PM me or post here and I'll update it.

I intend to make this a straightforward all-inclusive license guide, seems like we're overdue for a good one!

**COMING SOON**
-Approx. Levels before mobs become green/gray
-"Best" licenses per approximate level/class
-Location of mobs
-NPC price (if available) of license
-Approx. Market prices of license (varies)
-And other related information

Questions & Answers

What is a license?

A license is an item which gives you rewards for grinding the same mob over and over...and over...and over...again. The name of the license determines which mob you will have to fight in order to increase the benefits of the license.

Where Can I Find A License?

Licenses can be found in several different ways:
1) Purchase them from the "Weapon Title Merchant" located in each city. (Available licenses/prices COMING SOON)
2) Purchase them from other player vendors
3) Get them as a random drop from the particular mob (although some mobs drop different licenses)
4) Purchase a weapon that already has a license "engraved" on it. (You can't remove the license though)
5) Complete certain quests
Why Should I bother with licenses?
(All you wanted to know about Crit%'s)

There are 3 main Benefits of having a license.
#1 The first is that you can get some really cool titles to put in front of your name (see "Weapon License Titles" below).
#2 The second is that, as you level up your license you will get increased damage on that specific mob. This comes in handy particularly for higher level players who have to grind the same mobs level after level, or for lower level players who have a difficult time with certain mobs, or who have friends of same class who are a few levels behind you - loan them your licensed weapon!
#3 The third, and probably most important, is that some licenses give increased critical % on all mobs (believed to be true). The increased crit% is the real reason that most level their licenses. It is important to note that only THE HIGHEST crit% attained on a license will be added to the weapon. The %'s DO NOT STACK! Also, it does not matter what order you level your licenses on a particular weapon. Whether a license is 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, only the highest % you've attained will be the added to the crit%
Example: You have a max'd spider license, giving you 40% extra damage against spiders and 1% extra crit against everything. You then decide to add an Ice Vivi and a Ghost license. You bash on ice vivi's for 8 levels or so until they become gray and you max that license, which ALSO maxes at 40% DMG 1% crit. The weapon still says "x% +1%". Only if you went and max'd the ghost license, which has a max of 50% Dmg and 2% crit would your weapon say "x% +2%" (whether you did it in this order or not would have no consequence).
How do I use a license?

In order to use a license you have to register it to a specific weapon. Once the license has been added to the weapon it CANNOT be removed. Every weapon has the ability to have up to 3 licenses registered to it. In each town/city there is an NPC who will register your licenses for you. (If you press "m" for map move the mouse over the icons until you find an NPC with "Weapon Title Merchant" in front of their names). All you have to do is unequip the weapon you want the license to be put on. Talk to the NPC. Click "Register License". Put your weapon in the box in the upper left of the screen that appears. Put the license on one of the 3 boxes below that. Click "apply(?)", and *voila*. Let the grinding begin! Note also that once you've applied a license to a weapon, the weapon will now have your character's name "engraved" on it. Neato!

Note: Here is my futile plug at asking people to not create stupid character names. I've actually passed on buying great items because I didn't want my cleric to wield a hammer that said "ImaStupidNoob31154" on it. (No offense if that's actually someones IGN by the way). Seriously though people, try and be a little more creative.

How do I "level up" my license?

Licenses are mob-specific. This means that the "Ratman License" you got from that quest in Roumen won't do you any good until you fight the mob called "Ratman". You can't fight "Ratman Fighter" or any other version of Ratman to use your license - you must fight that specific mob. The other catch is that the mob MUST NOT be Gray for you. Once a mob becomes gray for your character the license will NO LONGER increase no matter how many times you try.

For some this may mean that, in order to level the weapon's crit%, you will need to lose exp before you level past the mob you're trying to kill. Or that you may need to loan your weapon to a trusted friend who is a lower level than you who can finish leveling it for you.

Once you've determined that you meet the above qualifications (and that your license isn't already maxed - see below), you're ready to level up that license! All you have to do is hunt, hunt, hunt! As you hunt the specific mob you will notice that the % on the license will increase. The way this works is that you MUST get the last hit on the mob, otherwise your % will NOT go up. Thus, leveling a license often requires much time soloing.

Weapon License Titles

Once your license reaches 100% (after fighting all those mobs) you will "level-up" your license. Each level has a corresponding name and dmg/crit bonus. When you complete a level of the license, you will then be able to choose the same title for your character (pres "c" then click on "change" by your name).

Below are the titles that you can receive by "leveling up" your licenses. They only apply to your character while you have the weapon equipped, and will NOT be available as an option to choose once your remove the weapon that has the licenses. Note also, that these titles DO NOT count towards the total title count required for certain titles (i.e. "title rookie").

Killer - 15%
Executioner - 20%
Eliminator - 25%
Assassin - 30%
Dominator - 35%
Destroyer - 40%, +1% Crit
Slayer - 50%, +2% Crit
Terminator - 60%, +3% Crit
Annihilator - 70%, +4% Crit
Conqueror - 80%, +5% Crit

Each license has its own maximum limit. For instance a "Marlone Megaton" license CANNOT be leveled past "Destroyer"(40% damage, 1% crit) while a Harkan license can increase all the way to "Annihilator"(70% damage, 4% crit). Below are the confirmed limits on each license currently available in Fiesta. (If you don't see one here it's because I haven't had it confirmed yet)

Here is the list of CONFIRMED License limitations.

It's being updated regularly, so keep checking back. Mobs which are colored blue are Hero mobs, meaning that they are located only at specific map coordinates and may have very lengthy respawn time. The mobs that are listed here but have no information next to them just means that either:
a) I've confirmed a license exists for these mobs, but just have not found confirmation of its limit
or
b) I've been too busy and have not updated the figures yet. (Also from time to time I make occasional typo's, if I've put a wrong # in here, and you have confirmation, let me know)
Tip: In case you don't want to search through the list of mobs, just press CTRL + F to open the find option in your browser, then type in the name of the mob and if it's here, it should take you right to it.

I found Fiesta wiki's thing is fairly accurate, but that is neither here nor there really. In any case here is what I know for sure.

Grave robber 40% damage increase 1% crit
Marlone Fighter 40% damage increase 1% crit
Harkan 4% crit and 70% increased damage
Orc and beyond 5% crit and 80% increased damage

Please feel free to continue to post CONFIRMED license completion amounts. I've been checking the forums for screenshots of weapons that have max licenses on it and also strolling around Elderine to see weapons. But if you've got one that has a max license and you know what the DMG/CRIT% is, let me know, I'll add it to my guide...

More to come!

I love completing licenses and so far have completed 5 of them since I started placing licenses on my weapons.

Bat 40%, +1% Crit
Spider 40%, +1% Crit
Ghost 50%, +2% Crit
Hob 50%, +2% Crit
Bone Imp 50%, +2% Crit

Additional observations: The Bat and Spider licenses needed between 1-2 mobs to gain a percent. The Ghost, Bone Imp and Hob required 2-3 mobs for 1%.

Secondly, I noticed that when you level the licenses that during the 10%, 20% and 30% levels that the number of mobs you need to kill increase slightly. Also, when you start the first 1% of each level you need to kill 1-3 mobs more than the usual numbers. Example: I level the Hob license from 30% to 35% and start at 0% at 35%. To get it from 0% to 1%, when I would normally need 2-3 mobs, I killed about 4-5 hobs before it became 1% then settled to the 2-3 mobs for 1% pattern. It was the same with the Bat and Spider licenses, which was where I first noticed this. Interesting, ne?

Currently, I'm working on my Harken License, now at 50%. Something new I encountered here was that when I reached 40%; usually it would go to 45% but instead skipped instantly to 50%. I imagine it will then go to 60% then 70%. Another thing is that when I hit 40%, my weapon gained a +1% crit, now it's +2$ crit when it hit 50% which is right since I was told it would be a +4% Crit in the end at 70%. I thought I'd share this with people who think it's not worth it to level a license; there are rewards along the way.

Uhm, if anyone is wondering how many Harkens to 1%; I counted about 4-5 for 1% and for the 0% to 1% about 5-7. I have a Weakened Ogre and a King Coll on my axe also, but presently, I'm focusing on the Harken so I have no observations as of yet.

Thanks for the info and observations. I also have noticed many of those same things. I'll add spider to the list also, I didn't have that one maxed on any of my characters yet so wasn't sure if it was 40% or lower.

Keep 'em coming!
