Default Archerology 101: Archer's Step Up

Enjoy!

Welcome my fellow archers to your next class, Archerology 101. My name is Delphina and I shall be your teacher of this class. Today’s lesson will begin with a review of levels one to twenty. From there on we will research and study the next levels of an archer’s life. Throughout this class you will be taught many subjects, which include picking the right weapon, placing of empowerment and skill points, and many other important things you must understand in the study of archery or archers themselves. Now please remember to stay quiet while class is in session and when you reach level sixty you will be tested on all that you have learned. Now if you have forgotten the basics I recommend retaking Archer 101 or asking a student of Archer 101. Any questions you have shall be answered after the lesson is over or after class. I hope that you enjoy the class, now we shall proceed.

(Warning: Please do not go on if you are yet to reach level 20. This guide also has a lot of reading. Take your time, get something to eat or drink, and enjoy!)

Review

So let’s review all we have learned thus far. In archer 101 you should have learned the basics of where to put your skill points. Remember that if you mess up a little to not freak out. At level 25 you are given a quest to reach level 30, the reward for that quest are skill reset points. Use them wisely though because you are only given 10 of them. Moving on, next you should recall the areas in which you should train in. These are essentially to leveling up because if you can’t remember you’ll be asking around and though that is all fine you shouldn’t rely on others too much. If you have any questions on this, please hold them until the end of class or review the notes that you should have taken from Archer 101. Next you should have the basics of archery down already. If you do not then sadly I must kick you out of this class and you’ll be reassigned to Archer 101. Finally you should have passed your level 20 test, if you haven’t refer to Archer 101. Remember that Archerology 101 is for those who are working their way up to the level 60 test.

Debate between what weapon to use will be kept to a minimum. Remember from the previous class that choosing a weapon isn’t a big deal, but do increase or decrease your chances of killing a monster before it reaches you. Though it relies heavily on your play style, build, and empowerment point placement.

Levels one to twenty were the basics of learning and play a major role in this class. In order to be in this class you should know the basics, what your goal build is, and what type of archer you wish to be. Without these basics you will neither pass nor do well.

Now to the actual review. Through levels one to ten you picked a build, learned the uses of a kingdom quest, and learned the basic workings of an archer. Let’s review, remembering from your first lessons in Archer 101, a kingdom quest increases your experience and allows you to earn rewards. As you should have found out is that sometimes your experience will gain you several levels at a time and are very useful to leveling, but that if you fail you lose all that you put into the kingdom quest. Though rewarding they are time consuming and sometimes give less then what you could grind in that time. Next the picking of your build determines your entire game play experience. Depending on what type of archer you wish to be that is how you should have picked your build. If you completely messed up on your build or wish to change it I recommend making a new character and transferring all your items to the new archer. Pick a build wisely next time! Finally the basic workings of an archer are to pick a monster and kite if needed and use any skills given to you. Spamming skills may be needed, but are not necessary. Remember archers are squishy so pay attention to your hp bar and make sure you keep a good amount of hp stones and potions.

The next ten levels, eleven to twenty were much more challenging, but still quite easy. Between those levels you learned about DoTs and their uses, which weapon to use, and where to train. DoTs are what an archer is all about, if you didn’t learn this I recommend retaking Archer 101. DoTs increase your chances of staying alive and are very useful in kitting. DoTs reduce a monsters hp every second or so and stay a constant damage. Learning which weapon to use will greatly help you in the next levels because you will always have a choice between two weapons. Remember that the crossbow has a greater damage, but is slower while the bow is faster, but has a lower damage. If you can’t remember that then I recommend that you do now otherwise you will fail reaching level 60. Finally learning where to train will greatly increase your chances of leveling and surviving. If you are level twenty-one you have no reason to be in Collapsed Prison, you will die. Also if you are level forty-two, you have no reason to be in Burning Hill, you’ll earn nothing fast! Be in your level range or slightly above. Don’t take on more then you can handle, this is the number one cause of death, taking on too many monsters or taking on too high of a level monster without the proper gear.

Throughout Archer 101 you should also have gained a knowledge of the archer techniques, soloing, duoing, and AoEing. Remember that kitting is a hit and run method and should only be used in large areas clear of many monsters. Soloing is a technique of killing monsters by oneself, a technique used by most. It also gains a large sum of money due to an archer knowing their limits enabling them to gain material items to sell. Duoing is often used if you can only find one person or if you wish to be in a pair. Duoing can be good and bad, but in either case is the next level and speeds up the killing process. Remember that a duo relies on how well you cooperate and know how to use your archer because out of every 2 cases of duoing you’ll be tanking at least once and should know your weak points. AoEing is a technique of being in a party with a tank, at least one cleric, and another DD. You kill large sums of monsters quickly and gain the most experience, but be aware of your hp as the cleric can not always watch it as they are healing the tank.

Class is now over! Come back tomorrow for the next lesson, we will begin with lessons on levels 21-30. Have a good day everyone!

Archer Terms/Laws

Wait a minute, before we can begin our first lesson you’ll need to know some terms first. I’ll be handing out a sheet of paper with all the terms you’ll need to know. Some will be used throughout this guide and some will not, but each term is helpful in its own way. Please refer to this whenever you forget what a word means and at the end of year (when you reach level 60), you’ll be tested on most of these as to make sure you haven’t forgotten any.

Archerology: The study of all things belonging to archers and surrounding the nature of archers. Once a largely studied topic that has now dwindled down to few that study and follow this course.

Archerling: A young archer between the levels of 1 to 20, but can be expanded to level 30 if the archer still has much to learn.

Area of Effect “AoE”: The area which is affected by certain AoE skills such as multi-shot, nature’s mist, and nature protection. Only the area directly around where the skill was used affects the monsters in that area.

Damage Dealer “DD”: Archers are often referred to DDs. Damage Dealers or DDs are the characters that deal most of the damage to a monster in a party or soloing. Archers are mainly DDs except in rare cases where they are tanks.

Player vs. Player “PvP”
: Commonly referred to as PvP in game, consists on 1 on 1 or a full fledged war. No matter the circumstances it is against a player and another player or a group of players. Player versus player is only enabled in PvP fields, battle zones, or between two guilds when a war is called.

Damage over Time “DoT”: DoTs are skills that archers have; they do consistent damage over a period of time and avoid all armour. Most last for 20 seconds, but can be increased by adding empowerment points towards increasing

Tarcher: A tarcher is rather simple, it is tank and archer fused together to form a word that describes an archer that takes over the role of tank.

DoT Destruction: This is the rare case of having no DoTs stick and monsters running after you. It can be fixed, but it is very hard to survive without dying or dragging trains. To fix, use a scroll or run in circles shooting your DoTs when they’ve cooled down it is very rare for it to happen a second time. If it does this means you are fighting monsters too high of a level. Do not, however, drag massive amounts of monsters and disappear behind a gate letting others destroy them for you.

The following are from RyaikenDune’s thread: Archer’s Murphy’s Laws:

Kiter's Conundrum: Any attempt to run from a monster will result in the aggroing of one or more other monsters.

Cast-Time Criticizm: By the time you have finished the cast time, your party hs killed the monster(s).

The Kiter's Catastrophe: Monsters can run through gates/walls. Can you?

Corollary to the Kiter's Catastrophe Law: If the mob can't run through a gate/wall, another monster, on the other side of the wall will get you.

The Lagger's Lament: The chances of lag happening is inversely proportional to the amount of HP you have left and directly proportional to the amount of mobs you have aggroed.

Corollary to the Lagger's Lament Law: If you don't lag in a KQ, chances are you will disconnect as you reach the boss mob.

Isya's Rule of Incredible Irony: An archer can never kill anything at PVP. But he or she will somehow always manage to get his or her entire party killed when grinding.

Note: These are not real laws. Their sole purpose is to make you laugh and add something interesting to the thread.

Welcome back to class today’s lesson will be covering levels 21 to 30. You will learn the basics of your new skills, further your knowledge of an archer, and experience a new kingdom quest and say goodbye to another. You will also gain the knowledge of different fields to fight in and some of the best levels there are before the true test comes about. Let’s begin…

Level 21:
Welcome back! Now where did we leave off!? Oh yes, well you should have completed your level 20 Job Change Quest by now. If you haven’t don’t worry, not everyone is such a quick learner. Just make sure you complete this as soon as you can or you’ll soon fall behind young archers. Now, now for all those that have completed it let us resume the STR/SPR build. So we last left off on need to place a skill point towards STR and an empowerment point towards decreasing cool down on Aimed Shot. Make sure you do all your quests; we wouldn’t want you to get behind! Also you are now able to enter the Lair of Marlone in Burning Hill, be careful though these monsters are much more difficult. Also you now can enter a new pvp field with better drops! Also you’ve reached max capacity towards decreasing the cool down time on Aimed Shot!
*1 point towards STR
*1 point towards CD (Cool down) of Aimed Shot

Level 22:
Yet another level, but by now you should be able to hold your own in Burning Hill, but if you can’t yet stick to killing higher leveled monsters in Forest of the Mist & Sea of Greed. They normally reside nearer towards the Elderine Gates. Yet again, another point towards STR.
*1 point towards STR

Level 23:
Ah my student you are very close to being able to get your next Hawk Archer item. Be patient though and you’ll have great riches. Anyways to today’s lesson, you are nearing the end of Mara Pirates kingdom quest, but do not fear you shall have the Gold Hill Kingdom quest to keep you occupied. Make sure to add an empowerment point towards increasing aimed shot! Another point towards SPR, slow and steadily you should see good crit numbers.
*1 point towards SPR
*1 point towards damage of Aimed Shot

Level 24:
Today is the day that you can wear your next Hawk Archer item. Your new boots await you. Sadly you must purchase this fine item for yourself, though semi-expensive it will set the path towards greater things.
*1 point towards STR

Level 25:
Now that you’ve reached this level you should receive a quest to reach level 30, do not forget to accept this quest it is quite important. Add an empowerment point towards increasing damage of Aimed Shot. You have reached max damage on Aimed shot, congratulations! Now it is time to focus on other skills.
*1 point towards STR
*Increase damage of Aimed Shot

Level 26:
What a sad day, you are no longer able to get in to the Mara Pirates Kingdom Quest, don’t worry though Gold Hill will always welcome you with open arms. You will now be able to obtain a level 26 archer hat, make sure to get this as soon as you can to keep your defensive up! Make sure your skill point this time goes towards SPR. You should be seeing some major critical damage by now if you already haven’t.
*1 point towards SPR

Level 27:
Now little archerling it is time to take a look towards your AoE skill. You will be decreasing the cool down until it is maxed. This will not only be worthwhile, but help you gain parties in the future and make your archer even better in KQ like Robo, Honeying, etc. Let’s not concentrate too much on that at the moment there, taking this one step at a time. Okay so, with your skill point add it to STR. Nothing much at this level to gain, so continue with your quests!
*1 point towards STR
*1 point towards CD of Multi-Shot

Level 28:
Another new item, dare I say? Yes, but this is true, you can now wear the level 28 Hawk Archer pants, so make sure to buy from a fellow player for a cheaper one or run on down to your local smith in Elderine and purchase this fine item! Another skill point and yet again towards STR, soon enough though you shall not need my guidance due to the levels after all the SPR is added will be the same and who wants to hear me say add STR all the time? I didn’t think so… anyways, make sure you add that point to get the added boost you need.
*1 point towards STR

Level 29:
Add another empowerment point towards multi-shot. If you already haven’t had much chance to use this skill, then you might try checking it out in Gold Hill, despite it being low-damage you will be able to make up for it with its speed. You should see the difference one point can make. A skill point should towards SPR now, sadly no new items or skills.
*1 point towards SPR
*1 point towards CD of Multi-Shot

Level 30: Congrats for reaching it this far as an archer. Hopefully at level 25 you accepted a quest to reach level 30. Now you can enjoy 10 stat reset points in case you accidently misplaced some of your points, though sadly this special gift will not reset any empowerment points. You also can gain a new bow, crossbow, and armor top. Add that skill point towards STR and use the stat reset towards any that you mistakenly put into other places if you feel you dislike them there. I almost forgot to mention you can now enter the level 30-39 PvP field as well as the Graveyard of Dead; you can now help kill Zombie King and hope for a ZK bow or crossbow. You will also get a quest that you can complete to get level 34 boots, make sure to complete it so as not to spend money on something you can get free.
*1 point towards STR

Recap: 5 empowerment points spent, towards various skills. No longer able to enter Mara Pirates Kingdom Quest and only able to enter Gold Hill Quest, along with this you are no longer allowed to enter the Marlone lair in Burning Hill, but can not enter it after level 29. You’ve spent 10 skills points, 3 towards SPR & 7 towards STR; you should have 11 SPR points and 24 STR points. You should be able to fight monsters in Burning Hill from levels 21-25, then from levels 26-30 Sand hill, and finally Moonlight Tomb from levels 28-30. You should also note to avoid the level 20-29 PvP unless you have a party due to not being ample enough to really need the PvP 20-29. Also you will have a set of quests where the last one is a quest for the level 30 top, try to form a party or finding a higher level to help you complete it.

Congratulations on making it this far! You are no longer an archerling you’ve reached the path of being a true archer. You have learned much, but do not underestimate it because there is still much to learn and it never stops. So, what are you waiting for class is about to begin and you’re going to be late. Hurry up!

Level 31:
I know, I know how boring to be drilled with the same thing over and over again, but you will see that you will start to be a shining star. Add one more point towards STR. As with your last empowerment point, place it towards multi-shot. Keep on doing your quests. You should be given a quest that will give you a level 36 hat, make sure to complete this. Lastly, remember kiting is your friend. Use it whenever possible.
*1 point towards STR
*1 point towards CD of Multi-Shot

Level 32:
A level with little to it, but it is a step closer towards your goal of level 60. Now isn’t it? Well it is, so just add the point towards SPR and keep up the good work on leveling. Don’t scowl, you’ll reach the next level soon enough!
*1 point towards SPR

Level 33:
Nice you can join a new KQ, but sadly you have to leave another. Don’t worry though Millennium Robo is much more exciting the Gold Hill. Now you can really test multi-shot out because it should be rather speedy by now. Oh before I get ahead of myself in anyway make sure to add a point to STR and another empowerment to multi-shot’s CD. You should see the speed of the AoE skill now. Hopefully it has earned you a spot in a few parties by now. You might also enjoy trying to solo in the pvp level 30-39 abyss.
* 1 point towards STR
* 1 point towards CD of Multi-Shot

Level 34:
Not much to this level, except at least you can wear the level 34 archer boots now. That ought to be plus. Well, now with the monotonous news, another point towards STR. Keep on leveling, soon enough it will all pay off to see your class change to Scout.
* 1 point towards STR

Level 35:
Finally you have reached the max limit of empower multi-shot’s CD, now you can focus upon much more important things that need seeing to. A point towards SPR. Seeing the crit now? If not, you’ll see more if it soon enough.
* 1 point towards SPR
* 1 point towards CD of Multi-Shot

Level 36:
Aha! You can now wear the level 36 archer hat. Hopefully you’ve found yourself a nice one because greens become very important on the levels coming. Yes, and another point towards STR. Hopefully you’ve begun to enjoy the thrill of Robo. Don’t worry you won’t be kicked out anytime soon.
* 1 point towards STR

Level 37:
Let’s switch some things up now. Since you’ve completed adding points to the CD of multi-shot it is time to focus on power shot’s damage. So add a point towards its damage. Don’t figure to deposit a skill point into STR.
* 1 point towards STR
* 1 point towards damage of Power Shot.

Level 38:
Please forgive me, but of course this level has very little that is very interesting. You should be able to solo quite well in Goblin camp now. Also you can now wear the level 38 archer pants! Don’t forget to add a point towards SPR now.
* 1 point towards SPR

Level 39:
Well there must be something good about this level? Oh yeah it means you are a level away from level 40! You will get a quest that will allow you to gain the level 44 archer boots. Make sure to add a point towards STR and another empowerment point towards power shot’s damage.
* 1 point towards STR
* 1 point towards damage of Power Shot

Level 40:
Congrats on level 40! You have finally succeeded, but you are far from being done. There are many more levels to reach and many more things to do. You can now wear the level 40 top and equip the new level 40 bow or crossbow as well. You can also now join Honeying as well. Don’t get frustrated when you don’t win often because it is difficult. Make sure to add your skill point to STR. You can now enter the level 40-49 abyss, as well as Concealed Peak. If you are lucky you might even get a Great Goblin King bow or crossbow.
* 1 point towards STR

Recap: 5 empowerment points spent towards CD of multi-shot and increasing damage of Power Shot. No longer able to enter Gold Hill at level 33, but can now join Millennium Robo at such level, and Giant Honeying at level 40. 7 skill points have gone towards STR and 3 points towards SPR, so you should have 31 points in STR and 14 points in SPR. You should be able to solo efficiently in Moonlight Tomb by level 32-34 and should move up to Vine Tomb by level 34/35 and should stay there mainly until level 38 which is when you should be able to solo goblins in Goblin Camp. Also you might like to try soloing in the level 30-39 abyss, but you might find the ghosts rather annoying.

Well, well, you have almost reached level 60; don’t celebrate just yet because the next 10 levels will truly be a test of all you can muster. There were will endless grinding and even tons of repeat quests just to get to the next level. Don’t give up hope though, you’ll make it to level 60, but right now grab all your newest quests and grab some scrolls and maybe a friend or two and go out and enjoy leveling.

Level 41: Finally, a new skill! Run down to Dekkid and get your new skill, Venomous Shot. It is your newest DoT and probably one of the best next to the AoE skill of course. Once you get that don’t forget to add your skill point to SPR and your empowerment towards Power Shot’s damage. You should see a major change in damage by now with that skill. You should also receive a quest where you can get a level 40 top, a little late yes, but if you already have one you can also sell this one for a little extra cash.
*1 point towards SPR
*1 point towards damage of Power Shot

Level 42: Level 42 already? Yes, not very special, but you are getting ever so close to level 60. You should find that you are one of the top in Robo by now and should enjoy being able to solo some. Ah, before you forget add your skill point to STR.
*1 point towards STR

Level 43: You should find that now you can take on many of the monsters in Goblin Camp. If you want you could try Collapsed Prison, but if you are nervous stay in Goblin Camp. Don’t forget to place your skill point under STR and your empowerment point in Power Shot’s damage.
*1 point towards STR
*1 point towards damage of Power Shot

Level 44: A new item? Now you can finally wear those level 44 boots that you got earlier from a previous quest. Also do not forget your skill point, place that under SPR. Gather your quests and keep on leveling!
*1 point towards SPR

Level 45: Can you believe it? Your last level of Robo KQ! I know it seems just a few levels ago that you just started this KQ. Anyways don’t fret you are going onto bigger and better things. Add a point to STR and your empowerment point towards damage of Power Shot. That skill should now be maxed out on the damage.
*1 point towards STR
*1 point towards damage of Power Shot

Level 46: A new level and a new kingdom quest. That’s right, though that means saying goodbye to an old one. Now you can join Mini Dragon and Mini Dragon (Hardcore), but that means saying goodbye to Robo. Don’t worry I think you’ll enjoy the new one much more. Along with this new level comes a new item to wear, an archer hat. Add that skill point to STR by the way.
*1 point towards STR

Level 47: Add your point to SPR, but this time instead of spending that empowerment point you are going to save it because you have bigger plans for this little point, but there are no skills that need it just yet. Keep on leveling so you can spend that little point.
*1 point towards SPR
*Save 1 point towards Nature’s Mist CD

Level 48: If you’ve traveled to the Scaffold Execution Grounds by now you’ll find that the drop rate is much higher. You’ll find this area much more enjoyable to kill in rather then being in Collapsed Prison. Be careful though, it can be rather difficult to get in at times. Add the skill point you gained to STR and before you forget get your level 48 pants because you want to stay up to date.
*1 point towards STR

Level 49: Again add a point to STR and save that little empowerment point. You should find that you can even try soloing in Uruga if you like. Be careful though because there is still that chance of dying easily. Learn your limits before you rush off though. Remember you’ll most like need to do repeat quests to get to the next level. Don’t be discouraged though, it isn’t as bad as it sounds.
*1 point towards STR
*Save 1 point towards Nature’s Mist CD

Level 50: Congrats on level 50! Ten more levels and you’ll be level 60. You can now wear the level 50 top and equip the level 50 bow or crossbow. This is your last level to participate in Honeying as well. Yet another skill point, place that towards SPR. You can now enter the level 50-59 abyss and Bonds of Darkness. You might even pick up a Torture King crossbow or bow, and maybe it will even have good stats. Keep on going!
*1 point towards SPR

Recap: 3 empowerment points spent towards Power Shot and 2 saved for decreasing Nature’s Mist CD when you receive it at level 51. No longer able to join Millennium Robo at level 46, but you can now enter Mini Dragon KQ and Mini Dragon (hardcore) KQ. 10 skill points spent, 4 points towards SPR accounting for 18 points in SPR, and 6 points towards STR accounting for 37 points in STR. You should be able to solo real well in the abyss 40-49 and even goblin camp. If you are feeling like you can, then you can move onto Collapsed Prison and if you can get in, Scaffold Execution Grounds at starting around level 44/45. You should concentrate on the abyss due to it being a great place to solo for there is plenty of space to kite.

Already? It might be the last leg to level 60, but this is only the beginning. Make sure to keep your head before jumping on the deep end though because the next 10 levels will really test your bond with your archer. You shall feel not only the joys of being an archer, but all that an archer is worth. Not only can you solo AoE, but you can also AoE much more efficiently then ever before.

Level 51: A new skill! A very special one at that, Nature’s Mist it is an AoE poison skill. You can use this skill to poison monsters within the range. It works perfect for AoE soloing because you can use it while kiting. Make sure to put the 3 empowerment points you should have by now to decrease your new skill’s CD. Also make sure to place your point in STR. You should be able to solo quite efficiently in the Abyss. You can no longer enter Honeying KQ, so you’ll have to rely on Mini Dragon as your main KQ.
*1 point towards STR
*3 point towards Nature’s Mist CD

Level 52: Sadly, nothing new, but you should be able to effectively solo kite now in the Abyss! This should enable you fast experience and items. Things are looking up for you as an archer now. Keep on going! Oh, yes, make sure to place that one point into STR.
*1 point towards STR

Level 53: Hopefully by now you have been able to explore the Scaffold Execution Grounds thoroughly without much difficulty, as well as Collapsed Prison. You’re becoming quite the archer now and your confidence will be rewarded once you reach level 60, but you can only get to that level by making sure to add your point into the appointed place, SPR, and your empowerment into Nature’s Mist CD.
*1 point towards SPR
*1 point towards Nature’s Mist CD

Level 54: Another level, but this level comes with a special surprise… okay well not really. Go on and buy yourself level 54 boots to keep up with everything. On a side note hopefully you’ve been keeping up with your skills, active and passive. If not do not worry, just go buy them if you have the cash to do so! Also you can solo in Uruga if you haven’t already. Make sure to place your skill point towards STR!
*1 point towards STR

Level 55: Finally it is your last point into Nature’s Mist CD! You should be able to use this skill to it’s full extent! Go on and use this fast speeding AoE and see how well it works! But before you go place your point into STR to add to your damage!
*1 point towards STR
*1 point towards Nature’s Mist CD

Level 56: Another day, another level, but it’s not everyday that you get something new. Go on and find yourself the level 56 archer hat. With that place your point towards SPR. Don’t worry SPR time is almost up and then you won’t have to worry about placing points there every again. Keep on leveling because you’ve almost reached level 60, 4 more levels!
*1 point towards SPR

Level 57: Let’s mix things up slightly. Before you spent all your empowerment points now you have to start saving them for future skills, such as new AoE, but there is plenty of time to place the use of these points! Keep up the work, for it will all be paid off shortly when you reach level 60.
*1 point towards STR
*Save 1 point

Level 58: Can you believe it? 2 more levels and you’ll be a scout! Place your skill point in STR and keep on going! You’ll reach level 60 all too soon. Hey before you go, purchase the level 58 archer pants!
*1 point towards STR

Level 59: You are finally 1 level away! I know you can’t wait, but you will have to, though only for a little while. Keep up your hard work! Place that one point into STR and make sure to keep your empowerment point for future use.
*1 point towards SPR
*Save 1 point

Level 60: Congratulations on reaching level 60! You have so far, but it isn’t over yet. This is just one of the many steps towards reaching the top! You can now use the level 60 bow or crossbow and level 60 archer top, but you first need to complete the level 60 quest! It won’t be that difficult, but once it is all over you can use any equipment that is 60+.
*1 point towards STR

Recap: Throughout these 10 levels you can solo AoE in the level 50-59 abyss, Collapsed Prison, Dark Passage I, and several other places. Uruga around level 54/55 is easy to solo and you can even attempt to solo in AEW. Mini Dragon (Hardcore) is your KQ of choice because of the increased experience. 5 empowerment points spent towards Nature’s Mist CD and 2 saved for future uses. No longer able to join Honeying KQ by level 51, but still have Mini Dragon until level 60 in which you will only be able to join Spider KQ. 10 skill points spent, 3 points towards SPR accounting for 21 points in SPR, and 7 points towards STR accounting for 44 points in STR. You are able to complete the level 60 job change quest, if you do so then you get 10 points, 4 towards SPR and 6 towards STR, leaving your build to have 25 SPR and 50 STR. If you succeed in the Level 60 quest you will be a Rapid Scout! Congratulations on getting this far! Keep on going all the way to the top!

Congratulations for reaching level 60! You will now find a pretty new title for you to where by clicking 'C', pressing change, and selecting it. It will be displayed for all to see, but you aren't a Scout yet. You will need to complete the three part level quest first.

What you need:
*Full stones Hp/Sp
*T3 pots Hp/Sp
*T2/T3 Defense scroll & Vitality scroll
*T1/T2 Speed Scroll (optional)
*T1/2/3 Evasion Scroll

Part 1: Make sure to gather your scrolls and restone before starting. First, talk to the guard captain in FoM, just like you did in the level 20 job change. Once you accept the quest you will be teleported the first part of the quest. The first part deals with having to rid Roumen of a Zombie Infestation. There are probably 30 or so, but don’t worry most of them will be nearby, on you, or coming at you in the beginning. Make sure you use all the kiting and solo AoE techniques you can. First use Nature’s Mist and start gathering the Zombies that are by themselves and continue to AoE the following mobs to keep aggro. You shouldn’t have to much trouble completing this section though. After you complete the first part you will gain an item called, “Time Piece 1”.

Part 2: Make sure you restone yet again before doing the next section. Remember though if you fail this part you do not have to repeat part one, but you will have to start this part over again. This time you will have to head to Roumen and talk to Chief Roumenus. You will be teleported into a room where you find that there are 6 die spinning around and you will have to pick one. If you win you go on, but if you pick wrong a mob will spawn. Don’t worry though the mobs are relatively easy. Just AoE them, run around a bit, and kill them off and choose again. Once you finally win walk down the path and through the door and you will have to face the boss. Sadly there is not a lot of space to kite, but if you do find that you can do whatever you can. It is probably best to stand your ground though and use all the skills you have. He shouldn’t be too hard though, once you finish you will get the “Time Piece 2”.

Part 3: Again make sure to restone and you might need to rescroll as well, just in case. Once you’ve done all that head back to Roumen if you aren’t there already and talk to Chief Roumenus again to be teleported to the third and final part. You'll find yourself in a place that looks like AEW, and you will be given 5 minutes to find the 'ones in need'. When you find them you will notice they are the Hero Roumen and the Elf Chief Elderine. They will tell you to leave, don't listen to them, just stay there and help them fight. Monsters will begin to spawn on either side of your camp fire. You need to protect the heroes if they die you will fail. You don’t want to run because if you do you will probably fail because you need to gather as much aggro as you can and it away from the heroes. The heroes will regenerate their health between each wave, no, clerics, you can't heal them. Just keep killing the monsters until the time runs out, any mobs left over at the end of the timer will disappear.

Once you have finished that talk to Roumen and that’s it. Yep that is it! Don’t worry though if you fail you just have to do part three again. Congratulations on becoming a Scout! You can now use 60+ archer items, you will also receive 10 stat points to use towards various stats! Congrats again and keep on going!

Since I had many question me about how to make money as an archer and other things. I thought I’d hold a study session after class. So, if you find yourself staying later that means you need a little more extra help. Don’t fret though, you aren’t the only one who has passed through here, even the more learned come here for a little extra help as well.

Archer AoE: Solo & Party

AoE Solo:
Basically it is a form of kiting, but on a much higher velocity then the simple one vs. one solo kiting. AoE Soloing takes a little skill, but once you get the hang of it… well you’ll understand once you try it. Sadly though, Solo AoEing is suited only for levels 51+. Why? Well you don’t get an AoE that you can use while kiting until level 51, which is when you get Nature’s Mist.

The below will state how you succeed in Solo AoEing:
1. Get a speed scroll, any tier would do, but tier 2 is recommended. Defense, Vitality, and Evasion are also good to use. Any tier depending on the mob you are about to take on.
2. Once you have gathered the needed scrolls you need to find a place to solo AoE. Make sure there is no one or very few people around, plenty of space, and no obstacles. Normally the abysses work perfect for this.
3. Once you’ve done the first two you are ready to begin. Equip all your scrolls and prepare to begin. Prep your Nature’s Mist and run nearby to a mob and aim then begin to run. If you can it is best to run in a huge circle. Continue to shoot the Nature’s Mist and occasionally target one and shoot your DoTs.
4. If you haven’t died yet then you are doing perfect. Don’t get mad if you do die, accidents happen, and sometimes you can’t always get away safe. You should find that you do gain a ton of experience and items from doing this.

If you do the top 4 things then you’ll be a perfect solo AoEer. As long as you have a speed scroll you should be fine!

AoE Party:
The best way to gain experience and even items, but it takes real skill and a good party to pull it off. You should find a place in a party quickly and don’t get discouraged if you are getting passed up, people just don’t know the worth of an archer yet.

Role:
Fighters are the tanks. Clerics are the healers. Mages are the nukes. What are archers? Archers are the Multitask class. They fill in failings of Mages, Fighters and Clerics (defense, aggro and damage respectively) and are the cement which bonds a party together. Let's face it, without an archer, you're in for a lot of work. Because tanks cannot keep total aggro, clerics cannot heal themselves and their party and mages cannot take a hit and have big damage gaps, archers nullify those problems with their own special brand of archer magic.

1. Keep monsters off the cleric. Do this with your DoTs. They are godly.
2. Tank 1/8th of the mobs. This includes monsters you take off the cleric/mage and monsters that slip off the tank.
3. Make sure the tank never loses aggro. This is very intricate and it will be explained below.
4. Provide constant AoE damage, this shouldn’t be too difficult.
5. After level 51, you’ll be even better for luring. Run into a mob and drag them or use your new skill, run towards the tank and use Nature’s Protection.

Kiting Techniques

This part will be rather small because it is more in-depth in my first guide. Basically kiting is taken to a new level as you gain new DoTs such as Venomous Shot and the AoE DoT, Nature’s Mist. With these new skills kiting has become ever so much easier.

1. Kiting works best with a lot of area, the abyss gives you that chance because there is a lot of room and little people.
2. DoTs can be used while running use this to your advantage.
3. Be wary of running into another mob, if it does happen keep running and attack your initial one, and then target the one chasing you. Do not run into other parties if you think you will stand your ground.
4. Know who is around you, know your limits, and have fun.

Money Making

There are many ways to make money. Whether you are an archer, fighter, cleric, or even a mage you can use the tips below all the same. As for an archer there are easy ways to make that extra cash you need. Below are some of the ways I have earned enough to keep on going.

1. Sell Alchemy stones, T1 can go for 1s a stack or more depending on server. I don’t recommend this unless you plan on doing all the quests and spending little. Due to needing 10k fame to purchase the archer skill you might not want to do this unless you don’t mind spending a little bit of fame for quick cash.
2. Farming! This is the number one way next to doing your production skills. If you take the time you can actually make quite a few silvers by farming for a few hours. If you are not yet level 40 you might want to farm Geranium in FoM or even mine copper in the caves. It only takes patience and time. As long as you are willing to give your time to do this then you will find it very profitable.
3. Production skills. The only problem I find with this is that you actually need money to make money. Unless you take the time to grind on lowbie accounts then you won’t find a faster way to get the T1 items you need unless you buy large sums of the item you need. Stones and Scrolls are your major money maker, stones more then anything. If you can make large numbers of the item and sell it you will find that you will gain a lot of money.
4. Soloing. You gain experience and items and best thing is that you get everything for yourself. If you rush yourself you will find you will gain little, but if you rest in between, kite, and use little stones you will find that you will make a bundle of cash.
5. Duoing, the next best thing to soloing. A bit more experience, but less items. You will be able to go for much longer and spend less on hp stones, but you will spend quite a lot on sp stones. Don’t worry though you will be able to make up for the loss quickly.
6. Selling stocked up items. I normally keep all my items I get and at the end of the week I will sell all the items I do not need and pull in 100s+ by doing this. It may be difficult to keep the items until the end of the week, but you will find that it is sometimes better to do it this way. You just take one day out your week to sell all the goodies you’ve gathered.

That’s it basically. There aren’t many great tips, but I hope that the ones I have provided will help you earn money to keep on going!

Archer Greens: What stats?

Many don’t quite know what they are looking for in green items. What is a green item? A green item has added stats, extra crit, defense, aim, or damage. Some items add one, two, or all of them, but it depends on the green, but not all stats are helpful.

STR: Is it as helpful? Yes and no. Yes because if you have enough it, it might prove useful. No because STR doesn’t have the same benefit as free stat and archer green STR stat doesn’t have the same benefits that fighters have. It has some benefits, but not the greatest unless you have large sums of it.

END: Is END more useful then free stat END? Yes it is. Green END might be one of the more useful stats that you can have. Not only does it give you the addition of health, but all the addition of defense which can be really useful for a solo archer. Again to be more helpful it is best to look for large sums, 10+ on the green item.

DEX: This is probably just as useful as END, if you can find this stat and END together then you’ll do rather well. Green DEX not only adds to aim, but evasion as well. Finding high amounts of DEX can be useful, but remember you can’t always rely on it allowing you to miss.

INT: INT? No never ever look for INT. If an item does have INT on it don’t worry unless the item has more of this then any other stat. Try avoiding this and remember any item with more of this on it unless it is a mage item is basically NPC food.

SPR: This is one stat that many do not quite understand. Since SPR adds to crit most would think that the Green SPR would do the same, but it doesn’t. It does not add to crit in any way. SPR adds SP and magic defense. Green SPR isn’t the most useful thing to have, but one can’t always avoid having this on their green item.

In conclusion, the top three stats to look for are DEX, END, and STR, in no particular order. It is best to look for items that have 10+ of any of the stat you are looking for in particular. If you find any with 15+ or 20+ of the needed stat and it its at a good price, well it just might be the armour or weapon for you.

Contributed Tips & Tricks

Have a tip you want to add? Message me or post it here! I will add your tips and tricks that are helpful here for all to see.

GrauEngel: Cast Nature's swiftness first, so to have no cool down on Nature's Speed, thus you will have in theory 2 minutes of accelerated shooting instead of one minute. When you run out of Nature's Speed there will be no CD to worry about and thus an extra minute!
--->This will be helpful in MD and other KQ, soloing, partying, or even duoing.
